GROHE SPA STAGES ‘the aqua sanctuary’ AT MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2026
Through an immersive architectural intervention named ‘The Aqua Sanctuary’, GROHE SPA comes back to the Brera district during Milan Design Week 2026. The brand unveils a 72-hour transformation at the Piccolo Teatro Studio Melato, one of Italy’s most significant cultural institutions, opening doors to a design installation for the first time. During the exhibition, visitors are invited to enter a realm where the rhythmic flow of water sets the pace of the whole experience.

THE VISION BEHIND THE AQUA SANCTUARY
The project is a physical expression of GROHE SPA’s ethos, ‘Wellbeing through Water’, led by Paul Flowers, Chief Design and Brand Identity Officer & Executive Vice President of LIXIL.

Within these curated spaces mind, body, and space align in perfect harmony through materiality and craftsmanship to redefine our experience of water as a transformative architectural element.’

WELLBEING THROUGH WATER IN THREE SANCTUMS
The installation is choreographed across three interconnected sanctums, with each phase stimulating a distinct state of being. Within these spaces, light, shadow, materiality and sound interact with flowing water to engage the senses and slow the perception of time, perfectly articulating GROHE SPA’s understanding of ritual, craftsmanship and refined design.
Shifting the focus to the tangible, a presentation of innovative materials, colours and finishes demonstrates how designers and architects can specify cohesive environments – shaping expressive interiors that invite emotional interaction.
The installation is on display from 22–26 April at Piccolo Teatro Studio Melato (Via Rivoli 6), in the heart of the Brera Design District.
