MacKenzie-Childs launches line with fine art photographer

MacKenzie-Childs has launched a tabletop and accessories collection in partnership with fine art photographer Gray Malin that reimagines the brand’s iconic checkered pattern and features a brand-new colorway.
Malin’s signature aerial photography of snow-covered alpine scenes has been reimagined with skier motifs on an icy-blue color palette.
“Collaborating with MacKenzie-Childs was a natural extension of my artistic world,” said Malin. “There’s a shared sense of playfulness, craftsmanship and storytelling in both our work. For this collection, I drew inspiration from my photography of snow-covered destinations, the cool tones and alpine scenes bring a fresh perspective to the iconic check.”
There are 15 pieces in the collection that encompasses serveware, dinnerware, glassware and accessories, as well as picture frames and a checkered throw.
The collection is exclusive to Bloomingdale’s and MacKenzie-Childs stores in New York City and Aurora, N.Y., where the company is headquartered.
