Surya celebrates a milestone at market
In celebration of his company’s 50th anniversary, Satya Tiwari, CEO of Surya, spoke with Home Accents Today‘s Managing Editor Anne Flynn Wear during High Point Market about the leadership principles that guide him, how he honors his company’s legacy while building its future and his definition of a successful partnership.
Tiwari said his father, Surya Tiwari, instilled in him the “universal values” of hard work, integrity and follow-through that have helped the company thrive.
Those principles also support successful partnerships.
“I always felt like you’ve got to partner with your customers, partner with your vendors, partner with your colleagues,” Tiwari said. “You just have to have a more open mindset to grow. That’s the only way to grow.”
