Singer, DJ, author, broadcaster and prominent LGBTQ+ advocate, Matronic is best known as the former frontwoman of globally acclaimed pop group Scissor Sisters. Its hits include Take Your Mama, I Don't Feel Like Dancin' and Comfortably Numb, its Grammy-nominated disco reinterpretation of Pink Floyd's iconic track.
Matronic has since gone on to build a successful broadcasting career, presenting a range of music and arts programmes for BBC radio and TV.
Earlier this year, she launched her history podcast Good Time Sallies, inspired by her lifelong love of history, nightlife and pop culture.
An evening of champagne, street food and celebration
On arrival at the Dezeen Awards party, guests will be welcomed with a Perrier-Jouët champagne reception and food curated by acclaimed caterer Kerb, featuring a selection of London's best street food.
Launched in 2012, Kerb has grown from a pop-up market in King's Cross to opening food halls in London, San Francisco, Copenhagen and Berlin.
The company partners with independent street food traders, providing a home for their businesses, and runs a social enterprise that supports people from underrepresented backgrounds.

As the evening unfolds, guests will enjoy networking and celebration set against a playful show design by London-based creative agency Hingston Studio, before Matronic leads the celebration later in the night as this year's Dezeen Awards winners are revealed.
Selected by an industry-leading panel of Dezeen Awards judges, this year's winners will be finally announced, having been chosen from more than 4,300 entries across 89 different countries.
More than 270 shortlisted projects are in the running for the ultimate accolade, which will be announced live to this year's global audience of architects and designers who will be amongst the first to find out.
