LONDON – Christy, the British brand of premium home textiles, is adding a veteran of several notable brands to its team.
The company, a division of Welspun, has appointed Claire Hester as director of design, merchandising and sourcing.
With a career spanning more two decades in the fashion and lifestyle industry, Hester’s extensive experience includes several significant roles at Ralph Lauren, Loaf and The White Company. During her time at both Loaf and The White Company, she introduced and established new core ranges and capsule collections, growing each brand’s market reach and influence.
In her new role, Hester will lead new innovations that align Christy’s product development with current market trends and consumer demands. She envisions collaborations with guest designers to bring fresh and new perspectives to the brand’s product range.
Leveraging her background in sustainable design, she also plans to launch innovative products made from broken yarn and surplus stock to ensure nothing goes to waste, underscoring Christy’s commitment to social and environmental responsibilities in creating a sustainable future.

Christy was founded in 1850 as a towel company and today produces luxury bed linen, towels, and home accessories.
