Kaleen invests in new level of Luxe

HIGH POINT – Rug maker Kaleen came to market this week with two new promotions for its higher-end retail and design partners: airfreight deliveries in 30 days or less for all Luxe custom orders and ocean freight shipments within 90 days.

“We’re excited to announce that we’ve slashed lead times for customized orders of our popular Luxe by Kaleen hand-crafted products to now offer express shipping from our operations in India,” said Monty Rathi, chief operations officer. “Our clients’ custom orders can be fabricated and delivered in just 30 days with our new express airfreight option. That means custom-designed rugs will go from fabrication at our India operations to customers’ floors faster than ever.”

In recent years, Kaleen said it has invested in its design, manufacturing and operations to support ongoing sales growth for its Luxe collections — including enhancements to the program’s area rug assortment and upgrades to the company’s state-of-the-art customization services.

This week four new Luxe collections launched across 36 styles, doubling the size and breadth of the line. The expanded collection, first previewed last fall in High Point and more recently at the International Surface Event in January, was well received, according to Rathi.

“We shared previews of the new Luxe collections on swatches and sample racks, and our customers all went crazy for them,” he said. “Middle- to high-income shoppers are buying now more than ever, and they want the distinct and artisanal products and reliable customization services only Kaleen can offer.”

Luxe area rugs are stocked in three standard sizes. The offerings are also available for broadloom applications. Kaleen’s India operations stock each Luxe by Kaleen design in carpet rolls to create custom sizes and shapes (within 50-foot long and 15-foot-wide dimensions). Delivery is within 90 days.
