Mitzi names Hilary Matt newest Tastemaker
Hudson Valley Lighting Group has named Hilary Matt as Mitzi‘s newest Tastemaker. The partnership debuts with Matt’s first lighting collection for Mitzi at High Point Market this week.
Founder and principal of her eponymous New York-based design firm, Matt is known for interiors that feel effortlessly cool yet comfortable, providing a post-modern, voluminous twist on classic silhouettes.
This lighting collection draws inspiration from art, architecture and lived experience with a neutral palette. Specialty materials like chiseled beech wood and textural ivory bouclé nod to Matt’s background in fashion.
“With this lighting collection, I set out to create statement pieces that play with scale and texture, fixtures that feel both sophisticated and playful,” Matt said. “The result is a collection of products that I believe are currently missing from the market. My goal is to fill that gap for both customers and fellow designers alike.”
