Dezeen has captured Kia's latest EV4 at a Korean bathhouse in Gyeonggi province in this video, which forms part of a series pairing the brand's electric vehicles with contemporary South Korean architecture.

The EV4 introduces two additions to Kia's electric line-up – a sedan and a hatchback – marking the company's move into lower-profile electric vehicles as an alternative to the crossover and SUV models that currently dominate the EV market.

The model is defined by a low, streamlined front, an extended roofline and a wide stance.

Vertical headlamps and Kia's Star Map lighting emphasise its height and width, while the long-tail silhouette creates a profile closer to a fastback than a conventional sedan.

Kia describes the EV4 as a new typology for the brand, informed by its Opposites United design philosophy, which combines geometric surfaces with softer, more human-centred forms.

The video was filmed at Myök, a bathhouse by South Korean studio Byarchitecture that combines Finnish sauna rituals with Korean communal bathing culture.

The compact building pairs water-chipped, exposed concrete and stone flooring with hand-finished timber elements, creating a contrast between cool mineral surfaces and warmer wood finishes.

A walled courtyard sits at the centre of the plan, with openings in the timber roof structure allowing wind, rain, sound and filtered daylight to enter the space.

The bathhouse includes a sequence of communal baths, a steam sauna and an open-to-sky shower arranged around the central courtyard.

In the video, Kia's EV4 is shown against the bathhouse's stone planes and enclosed courtyard.

By situating the car at Myök, the latest film reflects how architecture and mobility are responding to interest in sensorial experience and quieter modes of living.

The project forms part of Dezeen and Kia's ongoing collaboration, which pairs new electric vehicle design with contemporary Korean architecture to contextualise design decisions within wider cultural and spatial shifts.

Previous instalments in the series profiled a contemporary hotel drawing on hanok construction and a sprawling arboretum home to buildings by Álvaro Siza.
